Jessica Ekhoff is an attorney and postpartum mental health advocate. After a harrowing experience with postpartum-onset bipolar disorder, mania, and psychosis, Jessica decided to share her story. Her hope is to educate others about these poorly understood mental health complications of having a baby and create a sense of solidarity and hope for those who have endured similar struggles.
Jessica has co-led the Chicago chapter of Climb Out of the Darkness, an event supporting Postpartum Support International (PSI), and she facilitates PSI’s support group for pregnant and postpartum women with bipolar disorder.
On the weekends, you can find Jessica reading fiction, doing a crossword puzzle, or keeping tabs on the international figure skating circuit.
